The Clover Awards program will recognize youth who are well-rounded 4-H members and have shown growth and progression across their 4-H career. There are five levels of achievement youth may earn through the program, to allow them to set goals and progress through their 4-H career.  White, Bronze, Silver, and Gold clover awards are awarded at the county level.  The Emerald Clover is the highest award a 4-H member can receive and is awarded at the state level.  

2026 ONLY - Members may apply for multiple levels based on their entire 4-H career. This is to allow older members to catch up to their level of achievement during the first year of clover awards.  After this year, members will be sent the application for their next level of achievement only. 

An event can only be used ONCE in the application.  For example, if a youth attended 4-H camp in 2024, 2025, and 2026, they could use camp 2024 for the white level, 2025 camp for bronze level, and 2026 for silver level.  They cannot use 2024 camp for both white and bronze.  

The attached documents will help you complete your award application: 

• Clover Award Charts - provides required tasks for each level of achievement 

• Clover Award Approved Activities and Events - gives example activities and events that you may use on your application.  If an event you want to use is NOT on this list, that does not mean it will not count.  Include it in your application and you will be contacted if we have questions. 

The application for clover awards is open for the month of August 2026. Submit your form by August 31 at http://go.osu.edu/hardincloverawards 

Awards will be posted at the Hardin County Fair.
