An Evening Garden Affair, a program hosted by Ohio State University Extension - Hardin County Master Gardener Volunteer Program, will be held Tuesday, June 23 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Friendship Gardens, 960 W. Kohler St. in Kenton.
Join us to learn about the importance of native plants from guest speaker Chad Carrell of The Native Pathways Nursery and Hancock Park District.
6:00-6:45 p.m. - registration, Friendship Gardens tour, refreshments at the Friendship Gardens

OSU Extension in Hardin County will be closed on Friday, June 19 for the observation of Juneteenth.
Staff will return on Monday, June 22 for regular business hours. Voicemails and emails can be directed to any staff memmber and we will respond upon our return.

Life Skills project judging is July 14, 2026 from 12:30 to 6:00 p.m.
Please note that the location has changed for 2026. Judging will be held at the Forbing Community Center, 122 N. Main St. in Kenton.
Please sign up for ONE appointment for each project. If you are not sure which judge to select, a list of projects for each judge is provided at each link. Double check that your project is listed before you select an appointment.

Project workshops are a great opportunity to learn together while completing part of your 4-H project.
On Wednesday, June 17 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., OSU Extension in Hardin County is hosting a FREE cake decorating 4-H project workshop for those members taking any level of the #492 Cake Decorating project.
Learn from an experienced cake decorator and practice new piping and design techniques. This workshop will count toward required Learning Experiences in your project book.

On Wednesday, June 10 from 2:00-4:00 p.m., OSU Extension in Hardin County is hosting a FREE scrapbooking workshop for those members taking #497 Scrapbooking: A 4-H Guide to Preserving Memories.
Receive help from experienced scrapbookers to learn the basics and create embellishments for layouts. This experience counts toward your required Learning Experiences.
Please bring your project book, a scrapbook, and any tools, supplies, and photos you would like to use.
