  1. 2023 Hardin County Ag Hall of Fame Nominations

    Applications are being accepted for the 2023 Hardin County Agriculture Hall of Fame through the end of business on October 16. Nominees must have made their major contribution to agriculture primarily because of being born, growing up, living in, or working in Hardin County, Ohio. Outstanding agriculturalists may be nominated by individuals or organizations. Nomination forms are available at the Hardin County OSU Extension office or on the Hardin County OSU Extension website at hardin.osu.edu.

  2. Hardin County Carcass Show

    Have you ever wondered how well the grand and reserve champion fair animals will grade out on the rail?  The OSU Extension office is announcing that the 2023 Hardin County Fair Carcass Show of Champions will be held in-person at Jenkins Meats, 670 E. Marion Street, Mt. Victory on Monday, September 18 starting at 6:00 pm. Viewers will be also be able to watch the OSU Meat Judge giving oral reasons and results at both the Hardin County OSU Extension and Ohio State – Hardin County 4-H Facebook pages in addition to the hardin.osu.edu website after the event.

  3. Office Closed for County Fair

    The Hardin County Extension Office will be closed September 4 - 10, 2023 for the Hardin County Fair. Look forward to seeing everyone at the fair! 

  4. Important Animal Fair Exhibitor Information

    Fair exhibitor information was sent to all animal exhibitors by email on Sunday, Aug. 27th. You can also read all of the letters and important fair information on the Hardin 4-H App.

    REMEMBER - Market animals must complete the DUNF form at http://go.osu.edu/dunf by Saturday, September 2.

  7. Junior Fair Entries DUE JULY 31st!

    Hardin County Jr. Fair entries are due July 31. All 4-H project (livestock and life skills ) that are planning to show or display at the fair must be entered ONLINE by this deadline.

  8. Fruit and Vegetable Crop Walk

    There is a segment of agriculture in southeastern Hardin County that specializes in commercial fruit and vegetable production. Hardin County is also home to the Scioto Valley Produce Auction near Mt. Victory where much of this produce is sold. Hardin County OSU Extension has planned a Fruit and Vegetable Crop Walk program on Wednesday, July 19 from 6:00-8:00 pm to help with fruit and vegetable production issues. The location of the program will be on a produce farm at 17956 Township Road 245, Mt. Victory.
