YOUNG ALUMNI AWARD
Hardin County
Kolt Buchenroth of Kenton was awarded the Ohio 4-H Young Alumni Award at the Ohio 4-H Conference on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The Young Alumni Award is presented to a 4-H alumnus who is early in their career and has attributed part of their distinctive achievement and success to their 4-H participation.
Kolt is the Director of Communication for Kenton City Schools. He serves as a 4-H Camp Volunteer and is currently serving on the 4-H Camp Ohio Board of Trustees as a community lay leader. Kolt also works for the Hardin County Agricultural Society, handling technology, communications, and risk management for the Hardin County Fair.
Ohio 4-H Youth Development is a program of Ohio State University Extension, the outreach arm of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences In 2025, 196,141 young Ohioans participated in 4-H clubs, groups, and special interest programs. Ohio has over 12,000 active 4-H volunteers.
