As of mid-Jun 2026, we have been experiencing an unusually large outbreak of cyclosporiasis, a gastrointestinal illness caused by the microscopic parasite Cyclospora cayetanensis. Cases have been reported across multiple states, with particularly high numbers in Ohio and neighboring Michigan.
Applications are now being accepted for 2026 rabbit royalty at the Hardin County Fair.
Royalty contestants must be taking 4-H projects 228BR Rabbit Breeding and/or 228MA Market Rabbits or the FFA equivalent and have their projects entered in this year's fair.
