2008 Hardin Co. 4-H Year Book: Awards & Recognition Program

4-H is:

  • Learning To Learn - learning through experience leading 
  • Self And Others - working as a team
  • Relating To Others - accepting diversity
  • Communicating With Others - creative expression
  • Planning And Organizing - setting short and long-term goals 

4-H'ers "Learn by Doing" in the following ways:

  • 4-H Projects – hands-on learning in over 200 projects
  • Community Involvement - volunteer time to help community needs
  • Life Skill Projects - develop self-esteem and lifetime interest
  • State & National 4-H Trips – older youth connecting with the world
  • State 4-H Workshops - develop skills to plan and lead groups
  • School Enrichment Programs - enhances school curriculum and lead by classroom teachers
  • Cloverbuds -allows 5 to 8 year old children to become involved in 4-H on a non-competitive basis 

Hardin County 4-H Program:

  • Involves 1150 Hardin County 4-H youth
  • 4-H work is supported by 180 adult & 75 youth volunteers.
  • Offers over 200 different 4-H projects.
  • Our 4-H clubs are found throughout the county.
